Fried Cabbage

The perfect side dish to most every meal.

Fried Cabbage

Ingredients: 

Half head of cabbage shredded

Half pound of bacon

One clove of garlic

One yellow or sweet onion

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:  In cast iron skillet, fry up your bacon to desired doneness and remove from skillet.  Add the shredded cabbage to the bacon grease and begin to cook it down.  Then add the diced onion  and cook until it begins to soften.  Finally add your minced clove of garlic and chopped bacon and continue to cook on medium low heat until you reach the desired texture for your cabbage.
